Deran Young, LCSW, MPA, has served in the US Air Force for over sixteen years. She is a world traveler, and has visited over thirty-two countries and provided counseling services in three different nations in Europe and Africa. Her clinical training and experiences have primarily focused on trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, child abuse, and domestic violence.

Deran is the founder and CEO of Black Therapists Rock (BTR), an organization committed to improving the social and psychological well-being of vulnerable communities, while also providing vital support to mental health professionals who serve these communities. Deran is passionate about spreading information on mental health challenges that impact our communities.
