Margaret L. Conley

Margaret has been in social work and ministry for over 10 years focusing on the black church, the black family, and the stability of African American mental health in the context of faith-based trauma. Margaret’s educational endeavors include a BA in Anthropology and Sociology from Valdosta State University, a MSW from Clark Atlanta University, and a MDiv from the Interdenominational Theological Center.

Margaret is the owner and lead consultant at MLC Consulting, LLC and the president of Mending Life Concepts Empowerment Group, Inc, a 501(c)3 organization serving adversely affected populations at the intersection of spirituality and emotional wellness.  

Margaret is the creator of Health and Holy Conversations, a clinically aligned theological treatment model for faith-based trauma survivors.  Margaret also serves as a special guest reviewer on the editorial review board of the Journal of Social Services Research and is guest web lecturer for the 2030 Clergy Group with the United Church of Christ.
