Tonya is a financial professional, bestselling author, and aspiring entrepreneur. She earned a

bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, AZ. She has three decades’ worth of accounting knowledge and experience. 

Tonya hosts a Facebook group called Thriving with Alopecia where people who want a safe

and judgement free zone can candidly share their hair loss issues.

Tonya was born in Washington, D.C. where she lived for the first 13 years of her life before

moving to the suburbs of Maryland, where she graduated high school.  As an adult she moved

to Hampton Roads, VA where she currently resides with her husband Carlos and her mother Sylvia. 

Tonya has two adult children, a daughter who studies biology at Virginia Commonwealth

University in Richmond, VA and a son who serves in the U.S. Marine Corps.
